How do I book?
You can book via the website or by calling us on 01409 678018.
When is the balance due?
If you choose just to pay the deposit when you book, your full balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival. You can pay as many instalments as you like up to that time if that makes budgeting easier.
Check in and check out
Check in times are between 1pm-4pm and vary by accommodation type – you will be notified of your check in time on your booking confirmation email. We ask that all guests check out by 10am.
How much do you charge for dogs?
Well behaved pets are welcome and they stay for free! All of our pet friendly accommodation is clearly marked on the website.
What if I arrive late?
If you are going to be late for checking in, Firstly ring us to let us know. There is always someone on site and we will wait and show guests in.
What if I arrive early?
If you arrive before your check in time you are welcome to use our facilities while we get your accommodation ready, please just let reception know you have arrived. Splash around on the Leisure Lake or book a treatment in the spa.
What are the opening times for the bar and restaurant?
The Apple & Grape Bar and Restaurant opening times are as follows. Breakfast is served from 9 to 11am. Lunch is served between 12 and 2:30pm (12pm – 4pm on Sundays.) Dinner is served between 5pm and 8:30pm (excluding Sundays.) The bar is open until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and until 10.30pm all other days.
Do I need to book a table in the restaurant?
We ask all our guests to book evening meals and Sunday lunch in advance as this can get quite busy.
Is parking available?
Parking is available and free of charge. All lodge, holiday home and floating lodge guests have private parking outside their accommodation. Guests staying in Luxury Cocoons can park in the car park next to your ‘off-grid’ accommodation. Guests staying in Luxury Apartments and Lake Pods can park in our main car park as this is close to your accommodation.
Do you accept supermarket deliveries?
Please feel free to book an online supermarket delivery direct to your front door, but please do make sure you are here already checked in when any delivery arrives – we cannot accept and store deliveries for guests, as you will appreciate.
Is there a shop on the resort?
We have a small shop in the Apple & Grape which stocks all the essentials, snacks and treats! Our nearest supermarket is Waitrose on Station Road in Holsworthy which is approximately 11 minutes away. There is a Coop on Stanhope Square in Holsworthy which is approximately 12 minutes away and an M&S petrol station on Rydon Road in Holsworthy approximately 15 minutes away. For larger superstores we recommend visiting Launceston which is 20 minutes away.
Where are the local farm shops?
Evergreen Farm Shop in Ashwater is a 15 minute drive. Blackberry Farm Shop in Holsworthy is a 15 minute drive and is dog friendly. Lifton Farm Shop is a 25 minute drive.
Are there washing/ laundrette facilities
We don’t have washing/ laundrette facilities on site but The Laundry Basket in Launceston can provide this service and is only a 20 minute drive.
How is my accommodation prepared?
All rooms are cleaned to a high standard with appropriate chemicals.
Do you supply bed linen and towels?
Yes, in the accommodation and for use with hot tubs but we ask you bring your own towels for use in the Leisure Lake or indoor pool.
Can I upgrade my accommodation?
Yes, subject to availability, please contact us in advance of your visit. Just give us a call on 01409 678018.
Is Wi-Fi available?
High speed Wi-fi is available in all accommodation and the Apple & Grape Bar and Restaurant, you’ll be given your code when you check in.
What is the smoking policy?
No smoking in accommodation units or facilities. Designated smoking areas are available across the park.
Is there a hairdryer?
Yes, there is a hairdryer in every accommodation at Clawford Lakes.
How do I book activities
Fishing is available to holiday guests only (£7 for half day, £10 for full day and £35 for entire stay.) You can add fishing passes when you book your break.
Guests will be invited to pre-book free of charge water sports sessions and spa treatments in advance of their stay.
Do you allow BBQ's?
No disposable BBQs allowed. Portable BBQs are allowed but must be placed on either decking or concrete surface/hardcore area with safety in mind.
What can my children do?
Your children are welcome to take part in park ranger sessions, paddleboard or kayak on the leisure lake, or have fishing lessons with our expert anglers.
The boules court, badminton area, pool table and play areas for under 10’s are also available.
You can add activities, treats and handy items to your booking including fishing passes, infant’s travel cots and highchairs, dog beds and picnic hampers.
Is Electric Vehicle Charging available?
All lodge and Meadows holiday home guests have access to a private EV charger in their parking space for free. Guests in all other accommodation have access to the communal fast chargers in the two main car parks, these are chargeable at cost for 10p per KW.
