Have you noticed we don’t charge extra for dogs to stay at Clawford Lakes? That’s because we understand just how much your dog is part of the family, and, well, we just love dogs.
The good folk at the charity, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, also love dogs and bring much needed support and freedom to deaf people with their trained dogs. We’re so impressed with what they do that we have partnered with them to help raise funds for their work. For every holiday booking that includes a dog, we donate £5.00 to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
It’s easy (and free) to bring the dog to Clawford Lakes. We have plenty of pet-friendly accommodation to choose from and we make your dog very welcome, with dog-friendly areas in the bar and restaurant, dog beds to hire and lots of dog walking trails on the estate. Nearby, there are forests, moors and mountains to explore as well as dog-friendly beaches and tourist attractions. In fact, it’s doggy heaven here in Devon.
The charity, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, trains hearing dogs who transform deaf people’s lives. The dogs can alert deaf people to sounds they would otherwise miss, sometimes that could save their lives. This gives the owners the confidence to live life to the full and avoid the isolation that can so often accompany hearing loss.
With thousands of lovable – and intelligent – dogs matched to owners since the charity began, it’s a great achievement that has made an immense difference to the lives of those people. Hearing Dogs for Deaf People would like to help more and more deaf people enjoy the benefits a hearing dog can bring and we’re proud to support them in such a wonderful aim.
We’re giving £5.00 to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People for every dog-friendly booking we receive. We’d be delighted if you showed your support too, by donating whatever you feel able; just follow the link below. From us at Clawford Lakes and from all at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People:
