Fishing lessons in Devon

While you’re staying here, surrounded by 17 lakes spanning 30 acres, it seems only right to have a go at fishing. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced angler looking for tips on improving your fishing technique, our qualified fishing coaches will share their knowledge and passion with you, teaching everything from basic skills to advanced techniques to improve your catch.

As a beginner we will teach you basic rod set up, how to bait your rod, remove the hook from your catch and we’ll make sure you understand all the rules and safety needed to fish. We can provide tuition for the more experienced too and will model the class to meet your needs.

Fishing lessons can be arranged to suit you when you’re staying with us; pop into the Tackle Shop during your stay to book. Lessons are £20 regardless of number of people taking part, and last for roughly one hour. After your lesson, hire the free-of-charge equipment and head to one of the lakes to make your record catch! After a day’s fishing, why not head for a well-deserved drink at the onsite restaurant and bar, the Apple and Grape, to share stories of the one that got away!

Out on the lakes you might catch rudd, roach, perch, tench and carp, some in excess of 30lbs in weight. Ready for the challenge?
